by Woman's first Artists' meet and we picked the Museum of Art and Photography (MAP) in Bengaluru for the occasion. Housed in a converted industrial building, MAP gives a unique feel. The approach to architecture is reflective of the trend in recent years for museums to repurpose industrial spaces, instead of constructing new buildings.

‘by Woman’ exists because of my mother. I grew up watching her incredibly immersed while she would handcraft beautiful pieces. My father, younger sister and I would spend hours roaming room to room in our little apartment thinking which wall it could be placed. There are millions of such fathers and sons and daughters who see their wives and mothers and daughters create magic with their hands, every day. 'by Woman’ is for them- a wall in the room of the world to showcase their talent.
