In the north western terrains of India, where availability of drinking water is a luxury, women travel miles daily, barefoot on hot sand, to fetch water. They cover their heads and face with cotton dupattas to protect themselves from the scorching sun.
Presenting ‘Them Before Us’ —an artwork to remind us of the sacrifices these women make every single day...as they carry vessels filled with cool water to their home, first to quench the thirst of their family members and then theirs.
